The « Paris à Lyon et à la Méditerranée » railroad had several thousands of 3 axles passenger cars built until 1929. The construction was mixing a steel frame and a wooden body.
The Models-world model reproduces one of the last type, a batch of 665 3rd class cars delivered between 1906 and 1911. There were used in Express trains. The layout was opened compartments and side corridor. The wheelbase was 8.200m. Part of them were fitted with brakeman's cab
Part of them were steel rebuilt in the 1950s.

Voitures d'omnibus métallisées Sud-Est

These cars are the same than the ones above, rebuilt with a steel body and a unique wide central door. The internal arrangement was kept, but with one less compartment due to the central platform. Their type was C6tm (without parking-brake) ou C6tmf (with parking-brake ).
At the 3rd class deletion, they became B6tm and B6tmf, then later B6aiz (without parking-brake) and B6ai (with parking-brake) with the 1964 French railways new simplified lettering.
